PAIR OF CASSOLETTES
Coated and gilded bronze.
Twin vases with the shape of an extremely elongated ‘kantharos’, slim phytomorphic handles resting on eagles and ending in spirals joined at the edge of the vase by the long tapered neck. Coated bronze body set on a leaf tuft and embellished by a horizontal band with rosettes and, underneath, palmette motifs.
Tall foot on a plinht base decorated alternatively with ancient-style mascarons and gilded bronze vases isolated on a dark background.
