HALF-MOON CONSOLE TABLE
Carved, polychrome and gilded wood with marble top
Embellished by elegant gilt details that stand out from a lapis lazuli-blue background, this console features a marble top whose shape is adapted to the curve of the front. The strip below the top is decorated with a motif of intertwined garlands crossed by leafed vine shoots; spaced by three tapering, furrowed legs that are joined to the top by cubic elements decorated by rosettes. The stretcher is finely sculpted with acanthus leaves that culminate in a neoclassic vase in the centre, surmounted by a pine cone and enriched by two festoons.
