DEMILUNE CONSOLE TABLE

carved, polychrome and gilded wood with marble top

Embellished with elegant gilding that alternates with the lapis-lazuli blue of the background, this console table features a marble top shaped to follow the curve of the front. The band below is decorated with a motif of intertwining garlands with leafy vine shoots running through them, supported by three tapering legs with grooves, attached to the top by cubic elements adorned with rosettes. The stretcher is finely sculpted with acanthus leaves that culminate in a neoclassical vase in the centre, surmounted by a pine cone and two festoons.
