PAIR OF CONSOLE TABLES
carved and gilded wood, red marble top
This pair of console tables, made in richly decorated wood and embellished with sumptuous carved elements, is a characteristic example of Baroque cabinetmaking from the second half of the 18th century in Louis XV style.
There is a sculpted band with large plant volute elements in the rocaille style and ornate leaf carving on the central part. The four legs are curved and sinuous, while the feet are decorated with phytomorphic elements.
The table is topped with a thick red marble slab.
