PAIR OF CANDELABRA WITH PUTTI
gilt polychromed wood and bronze
Fine pair of flambeaux in neoclassic style with 6 arms. Made of gilt wood, the two fully sculpted putti embrace a cornucopia with arms branching out of it. The arms are characterized by stems finely embellished with leaf motifs terminating in ‘bobèches’ resembling carnation buds.
The two putti rest on rectangular wooden plinths in green polychromed wood, finely decorated with a shaped frame and a beaded frame in gilt wood. The base is embellished at the front with a stem, a rosebud in gilt wood and phytomorphic elements in neoclassical style.
