Gilded wooden cherubs
sculpted, gilded and polychrome wood, cm. 104,5
A pair of full relief gilded wood sculptures representing two winged cherubs holding candles. The faces framed by thick, curly hair and the hips covered by a soft drape that hides their nudity are typical 18th century stylistic features. The cherubs rest on octagonal bases with gilded edgings and are painted in imitation marble.
