This furniture piece, intended for small domestic tasks, consists of an oval top supported by four slender legs united by a garland with flowers which terminate in lion’s feet. The drawer below the top and the small container below it – a rare example of wooden imitation of the customary bag for balls of wool – bear witness to the original purpose of this furniture item.
