SUITE OF EIGHT CHAIRS

Mahogany wood with gold decorations, leather upholstery

An elegant suite of eight solid mahogany chairs, dating from the late 19th century. The flowing lines are emphasized by the gentle slope of the backrests and seats. The chairs rest on front legs, known as “garrets”, which accentuate the sinuous forms, while the rear legs are shaped like sabers. The upper part of the backrest is embellished with a double inlaid frame, enclosing a refined floral inlay, all crafted in brass. The concentric frame decoration is repeated between the backrest and seat, and in the band below the seat.
