PALATINE MIRROR
sculpted and gilt wood
Oval mirror of considerable size, consisting of two parallel concentric thick branches united by thinner, leafy ones. The mirror is decorated with two bird figures; the lower one is represented naturalistically, in the act of pecking, while the one included in the vegetal centrepiece on top is shown in the heraldic position with open wings.
