PAIR OF REGENCY-STYLE ARMCHAIRS

laquered wood

Pair of Regency-style armchairs, produced during the period of transition between Louis XIV and Louis XV style. The X-form stretcher, which connects the legs, recalls the Louis XIV style, while the curved movement of the legs and armrests pre-empts the Louis XV style. The armchairs are upholstered with beautiful white damask fabric.
