PAIR OF DEMI-LUNE CONSOLES

wood with mahogany veneer, top in scagliola

Pair of demi-lune consoles in mahogany with top in scagliola. The strip below the top features a central drawer which rests on two cabriole legs in front and on a pair of linear legs behind. The flat base with three concave sides is supported by flattened onion feet terminating in spherical elements.

These consoles, which may be retraced to a Neapolitan context, vaunt scagliola tops decorated by panoplies of weapons and ensigns which differ slightly in the single tables, which are centred by coat of arms referring, by way of nostalgic homage, to the House of Anjou.
