PAIR OF ANGEL CANDLE HOLDERS

sculpted, gilt and polychrome wood

This pair of sculptures which serve to support candles is characterized by a good anatomic definition, evident in the elegantly mirrored movements and the well-defined virile legs. The angels, with smiling faces framed by thick hair and large spread wings, stand on bases embellished by cherub heads.
