GUÉRIDON
Carved, sculpted and gilded wood, white marble top
This elegant guéridon is a piece of furniture that became popular in France from the late 17th century onwards, generally used as a base for vases or lamps. The small table is composed of a stem with three swans leaning against it, supported by an inverted acanthus leaf capital, on which the circular white marble top rests. The feet are decorated with scrolls and embellished with phytomorphic motifs.
