CONSOLE, LOUIS XVI STYLE
Carved and gilded wood, Spanish Brocatello marble
Antique ornamental console, Louis XVI style, carved and sculpted in gilded wood, made by craftsmen from Genoa.
The linear band is decorated in relief with elegant ornamentation, featuring neoclassical motifs such as garlands and stylised flowers that branch off from a central figure. The four legs, with a truncated cone shape, are outlined by grooves at the base and adorned with leaf tufts.
The console is completed by a top in “Spanish Brocatello”, characteristic of the period.
