CABINET
walnut and white poplar wood
Although still showing 15th-century style features, this simple yet elegant 16th-century wardrobe, comprises of two doors, each decorated with lozenge-shaped panels in relief and centred with a turned circular walnut knob. Slightly rounded pillars embellish and define the cabinet on the sides. The central handles are made of brass.
The upper part of the wardrobe is characterized by a rectangular cap with notched moulding drip edge, which adds depth and a touch of elegance. The moulded base slightly protrudes and rests on bracket feet.
The walnut and poplar wood of the wardrobe shows a pronounced grain and a finish that enhances its warm, deep colour. Furthermore, signs of time attest to its age and authenticity.
