PAIR OF MIRRORS
carved and gilded wood
This splendid pair of mirrors, with their shape that recalls a Greek cornice, stands out for a band with smooth grooves, followed by a raised profile decorated with stylised leaves.
The shaped wood is engraved in the outer band, adorned with a stylised, obliquely arranged pod-shaped border, which travels around to the wall.
Majestic acanthus leaves curl inwards at the centres and corners. The decoration concludes with shells at the tip of the protruding corners.
