CABINET
inlays with precious wood species and ivory, sculptures and details in bronze
This quite large cabinet is carefully crafted with precious inlays, which soften the architectural style that may still be defined as rococo. The Louis XVI taste is manifest in the ivory inlays on the front and sides, which depict graceful girls dressed in the antique style. Two doors that may be opened by means of hidden buttons reveal the interior, animated by numerous drawers of various formats and a niche door decorated by a small sculpture of Minerva in gilt bronze. The latter conceals a door that may be locked with a key, and that gives access to another room with drawers.
