Beneath it, some shepherds are depicted in their daily routine alongside a flock of grazing animals. In the background, the idealized ruins of a castle rise over a wooded hill, while the sky is painted with delicate and vaporous shades of pink.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The composition, structured with a masterful diagonal perspective, reflects the tradition of classical Roman \u201cimaginary landscape\u201d inspired by the French artist Gaspard Dughet (1615-1675), here reinterpreted with a more sentimental and late-Baroque sensibility.
