They hold palms in their hands, have laurel wreaths on their heads and are clearly allegories.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The tall rocky plinths are typical of the production of the greatest of all Baroque sculptors in Genoa and Liguria, Filippo Parodi.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After completing his training, the sculptor went to Rome where he entered the workshop of the now mature Gian Lorenzo Bernini, thus acquiring a very fine sense of drama and plasticity.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These two wood carvings with their fluttering draperies, graceful poses and high-quality carving can be interpreted as the fruit of Parodi\u2019s workshop towards the end of the century.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":5197,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":[],"portfolio-types":[50],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/antico.tornabuoniarte.it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/portfolio\/5198"}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/antico.tornabuoniarte.it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/portfolio"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/antico.tornabuoniarte.it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/portfolio"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/antico.tornabuoniarte.it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/2"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/antico.tornabuoniarte.it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=5198"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/antico.tornabuoniarte.it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/5197"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/antico.tornabuoniarte.it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=5198"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"portfolio-types","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/antico.tornabuoniarte.it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/portfolio-types?post=5198"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
