SIDEBOARD WITH DOUBLE COMPARTMENTS
Walnut with inlays in rice-paste.
This piece, characterized by a rigorous architectural structure, is decorated by refined phytomorphic inlays in rice-paste inspired by Renaissance grotesques. The decorations of the central panels on the pillars feature of elegant candlesticks, while those on the doors are arranged around the knobs, which are framed by shields with scrolls and flowered shoots.
The structure consists of two bodies outlined by moulded frames. The doors are decorated with frames, and the moulded top is supported by dentils. The furniture piece is supported by shaped and perforated bracket feet.
